Clutch Issue

Post by Rollerskate96 »

Just bought a 2006 mk3. Love it but just one issue.
The clutch pedal has go to the floor to engage gears.
IT bites immediately and there is too much free play as you press the pedal. I suspect air in the system.
It's done 50000 miles.
Comments please.

Check / topup the clutch fluid and bleed the clutch to see if it improves. You may need to set / adjust the clutch pedal free play.
Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour

That’s exactly how my rev 2 turbo was: I grew to like it.

Often clutch pedal going to the flute is cited as a C slave cylinder issue so you may want to check for leaks
