Alternator Pulley Part No.

Post by Sandor.K »

Hi all,

I have recently replaced the alternator in my MR2 Mk3 only to discover that the pulley on it has a dent which has been damaging my auxiliary belt, I have heard other people mentioning that they have replaced just the pulley on their alternator but I am struggling to find any compatible ones online. I am trying to avoid buying a whole new alternator again so I was wondering if anyone knew of any compatible pulley part numbers?

Many thanks :D

You can find the Toyota part numbers here by selecting your car details using the drop down boxes https://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/eu/2003/mr2/zzw30r-akfqhw/3_211230_011_/tool-engine-fuel/1903_alternator#27411
The Toyota part number for the alternator pulley is
PULLEY, ALTERNATOR - 27411-50050
Same pulley is used on quite few models apart from the MK3 MR2, new ones are not cheap  probably cheaper to pick up a second hand alternator and swop the pulley.
Or try one of the MR2 Breakers like Dick Sloan (MR2 Roadster Recycling) in Carlisle, contact details on the map here https://mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2/specialists-suppliers.html
Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour
